Leading Electronics Manufacturing Company Receives
Distinguished Quality Management Certification
Able Press Release
December 2, 2003
Able Electronics, Corp., a leading electronics
manufacturing services (EMS) company, today announced that
it has gained compliance to the new quality management
certification ISO 9001:2000 standards for both its Silicon
Valley and Mexico manufacturing facilities.
"Our ISO 9001:2000 certification for both facilities
further emphasizes Able's commitment to manufacturing
quality," said Peter Dennis, Able Electronics'
president & COO. "This standard helps us
continually improve our performance by focusing on the major
processes within our organization and allows us more
opportunity to increase the value of what we offer our
customers. It emphasizes our desire to monitor customer
satisfaction and assures consistency in quality management
by promoting the use of those principles. This certification
is one more way in which Able Electronics continues to
improve its customer satisfaction, profitability and market
leadership."
"Achieving our ISO 9001:2000 certification shows
that we're serious about customer satisfaction and ongoing
improvement," said Bill Quan, Able Electronics' quality
manager. "Both facilities, Hayward and Mexico, have
done a tremendous job in streamlining internal processes to
continually improve quality. I think it is important to
recognize every employee's contribution to implementing this
quality management system and its four model components
including management responsibility, resource management,
product realization and measurement, and analysis and
improvement. This certification puts us right on track for
meeting quality objectives set for the coming year."
The ISO 9001:2000 standard is used for
certification/registration and contractual purposes by
organizations seeking recognition of their quality
management system. It provides a model of specific
requirements for any organization that aims to enhance
customer satisfaction and demonstrate its ability to
consistently provide products and services that meet
customer and applicable regulatory requirements.
